Yousuf completes 1000 runs in 2006

On the second day of the fourth Test against England at The Oval, Muhammad Yousuf completed 1000 runs in the calendar year 2006. He became the first Pakistani and only the second batsman in the world, after India’s Rahul Dravid, to achieve this mark in the ongoing year. Younis Khan is also a whisker away from achieving this feat as he his tally of runs stands at 998 after his dismissal in the first innings. The table below lists players with 700 or more runs in Test cricket in 2006.
