Younis completes 1000 runs in 2006

Pakistan’s Younis Khan completed 1000 runs in Test cricket in calendar year 2006 when he scored two runs during his innings of 11 in the first innings. He became the fourth Pakistani for the fifth time to register 1000 runs in a year in Test Cricket. Interestingly, Mohammad Yousuf has also accumulated 1315 runs in Test cricket this year. The table below lists 900 or more runs scored by a Pakistani batsman in a calendar year. The accompanying table has the complete details.
