Stephen Smith Talks Sensible

Australian foreign minister has got some brains and he has shown them in the recent press conference, in which he categorically said that terrorism wasn’t only the problem of Pakistan, but it’s a worldwide problem, and the whole world should join forces to combat it, and so if Australia postpones or shift the upcoming series of Pakistan, then it would be a victory for the terrorists.

Stephen Smith, the foreign minister of Australia is famous for his sports loving persona, and he has been outspoken on various issues. He has said that he wants his team to visit Pakistan just to defy the terrorists, and to assure the Pakistani public that world is with them in their fight against terrorism. He has said that he would try his best that Australian team visits Pakistan in March this year despite of all the security concerns.

Stephen said that basically the assassination of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto and the riots which followed her slaying were the main reason behind the understandable hesitations of Aussie team players and the team management, but he is working closely with the Australian board officials in this regard, and there is every hope that the tour will go along.

Indian media has been instrumental in flaming the anti-Pakistan sentiments in Australia, but due to the current fiasco in Australia, Australians have now fully become aware of the real visage of India, and now they know better than that. Australia and Pakistan both love and respect their cricket and they don’t really indulge in petty thing and keep the game above all.
