In the doping scandal, Shoaib Akhtar was played as the major culprit who made Mohammad Asif to use dopes and that is why Shoaib was given more punishment than the Asif, and Asif was considered as the innocent kid, who was just misguided by the Rawalpindi Express.
Shoaib Akhtar never forgot that, and he always said that he never asked Mohammad Asif to use asteroids or any other medicine and infact it was Asif on many occasions, who offered him such goodies. Mohammad Asif always laughed it out, and one day in his desperation and frustration, Shoaib Akhtar treated Mohammad Asif with the bat, and Asif became more innocent.
Then came the stunning news that Mohammad Asif was arrested at the Dubai airport with opium in his wallet. When he was stopped at the airport and was frisked, Asif quarreled with the authorities, who also then roughly handled him, and he is still under arrest.
Shoaib Akhtar’s reaction over this ignominious saga is very much understandable, as he said that it was proved now, what he was saying for the last several months, and he also implicated Shahid Khan Afridi in the opium group in the team. He also said that he had already informed team management and the board about it, and it was also their fault to not to check this before time, and now due to this negligence, the name of Pakistan is at stake.
Shoaib is having one hell of a time.
