Scotland take on India on Thursday (today) in a One-day International at Titwood in Glasgow. For India it is one of two warm-ups before the one-day series against England, the other match being against England Lions at Northampton on August 18.
Scotland are boosted by the availabity of county players Navdeep Poonia and Dewald Nel. India may rest a number of their Test stars, and are sure to field as many of their one-day specialists as possible.
Batsmen Robin Uthappa, Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir may come into the frame.
With 2,000 tickets pre-sold, spectators will be disappointed if the likes of Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar elect to skip the match.
Seamers Ajit Agarkar and Munaf Patel are likely to play for India ahead of Zaheer Khan, named man of the Test series victory over England.
Captained by Ryan Watson, the home side will be led out by bowler Paul Hoffmann in his final One-day International.
The presence of Warwickshire opener Poonia and Worcestershire seamer Nel gives the home side some solidity, and they can also draw on the experience of all-rounder Gavin Hamilton. However, Dougie Brown — who is expected to play in the ICC World Twenty20 in September — is not quite match-fit after an achilles problem.
