Things are good for the Pakistani Cricket team on the field, but they are not that much rosy in the dressing room and in the dark corridors of Pakistan Cricket Board, where internal dirty politics is active at full throttle.
Rifts are the order of these days in the team and outside of it in the PCB. There are rifts between the players, and there are rifts between skipper and the coach, and there are rifts between chairman PCB and the governing board, and there are rifts between coach and the selectors and they both have rifts with the captain, who also has got rifts with the players.
Selectors just want to get rid of old cows, who are now started to blackmail in open, and they have got the support of Dr. Nasim Ashraf, who is opposed by the governing body. Senior players in the team like Younus Khan are now unwilling to play in the leadership of Shoaib Malik, who also want his team without the burdensome oldies.
In the team Shahid Afridi has his own group and he is lobbying hard for his captaincy, whereas Shoaib Akhtar has also erected his own castle at the corner. Coach, Henry, has not at last opened up and trying to impose his sham authority on the players in vain, and this has made the matters more worst.More on:Dr. Nasim Ashraf, Geoff Lawson, Pakistan, PCB, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar, Shoaib Malik, Younus Khan
