PCB and WADA Dope Test

Written by Commoner on August 2nd, 2007   (421 views)

Last time, when the urines of cricket players of Pakistan were tested, things got really weewee. Maturation of nastiness became impossible, and the puddle of piddle turned into a wanton leak.

Pakistan never recovered after the dope test last year. They received a life time spanking in the world cup and before that thoroughly insulted by South Africa in South Africa. Prior to Protean tour, English tour wasn’t also an extraordinary one. Champions trophy didn’t also contain anything to write home about.

Nobody, in his right mind, could support or defend or evangelize the use of contrabands, but there is a thing called as management of affairs. If the IQ of your players is so low, and they dont know what is right and what is wrong, and they have become blind because of the sudden sparkle of wealth and girl dazzle, its the responsibility of the board to keep the things in perspective. Doing the dope test, and then royally punishing the players, and then doing everything to rollback the punishment wasn’t a professional thing to do. It was a third rate fiasco.

This time, twenty six players have been taken to the dope test, including the last time culprits, Shoaib Ahktar and Mohammad Asif. Younis Khan, Danesh Kaneria and the bowler Hameed are in England and they will be tested in England. The urine samples will be sent to Malaysain Labortary of Wada, and it is expected that the results will be returned before 11th of the August.

Dope test are being taken in the supervision of Dr. Sohail Salim, who is the official doctor of PCB’s Medical Commission. This is one of the step in the preparation of the 20/20 world cup. Because ICC is sure to surprise test Pakistani players in the forthcoming world cup.

This is an age of deal. There are rumours of a deal between PCB and Wada. As Wada didnt pursue the case of Mohammad Asif and Shoaib Akhtar, PCB is now conducting the dope test according to the laws of WADA, and now the kits of dope test have also been acquired from the WADA lab in Malaysia.
