Enough is enough, and now the time has come that somebody should take some bold and audacious decisions regarding the Pakistani cricket. Repetitive defeats littered with unreliable and inconsistent performances under the shadows of casual attitudes and scandals, green uniform of Pakistan has become a laughing stock.
Right now, there is no unity to be seen in the Pakistan team. From captain to the tail-enders there simply is no professionalism and passion. Even against India, when in the past even the meekest of the players has gotten charged up, this team is just dragging its dead weight from match to match.
After getting sucked by Rana Naveed-ul-Hassan for quite a time, now PCB has given that sucking task to Sohail Tanvir, whose rugged personality is more in sync with his terrible bowling. Shoaib Akhtar has lost his steam, and now he is an old goat of no use. Though, even in his prime, he mostly remained banned or injured. Both Mohammad Yousuf and Younus Khan, who are supposed to be the premier batsmen for Pakistan, are once again failing pathetically in a familiar fashion.
Mohammad Sami was one of those players who were invited from PCB to take part in the test series against India in India, and Mohammad Sami was once again unable to terminate his out-of-form chain and he proved to be the most expensive and easy-to-eat bowler of the match. Mohammad Sami has always been found out-of-the-form since his childhood, and now when he is at the twilight of his career, he is more than ever clumsy and clunky. He should also join Indian Cricket League or Indian Premier League.
Pakistan Cricket Board should now be done with the old goats. They should start crash hunting for the new talent for all the facets of the team. Pakistan need new openers, new middle order batsmen, new all rounders, new wicket keeper, new spinners, new bowlers and new management with new selection committee. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a new chairman of the PCB.More on:icl, India, IPL, Mohammad Sami, Mohammad Yousuf, Pakistan, Pakistan in India 2007, PCB, Rana Naveed, Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanveer, Younis Khan
