Pakistan for Asia Cup

Written by F Mirza on June 18th, 2008   (35 views)

Asia Cup is just around the corner and the Pakistan team is fresh from it’s victory in the Bangladesh in the tri-nation tournament which featured, India and Bangladesh. Pakistan runs high on that victory, while India sulks with the wounds of revenge.

Pakistan squad for Asia Cup would be announced today (Thursday). National selection committee has completed initial consultations in this connection. A 15-member team would be announced today after approval of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Dr. Nasim Ashraf.

The good news about the squad for the Asia Cup is that the idiot wicket keeper Karman Akmal is being replace by Sarfraz Ahmad and spinner Abdul Rehman also having bright chances to be a part of the team. Another good thing would be that some new pacers would get the chance to show their mettle.

Pakistan shouldn’t just rely on the results of the tri-nation tournament of Bangladesh, rather they should work hard at full throttle.
