Pakistan Faces Bangladesh

Bangladesh and Pakistan have played 18 One Day International matches against each other, from which Pakistan has won 17 ODIs, while Bangladesh won only one by creating an upset in the 1999 in England during the world cup.

Bangladesh are considered as minnows in the international cricket and their team is full of non-experienced players though they have got talent and flair and could once again repeat the history of setback of the English world cup. Bangladesh’s Australian coach Jamie Siddons has also said that his team could do set up during this series against Pakistan.

There has been a drought on the cricketing horizon of Pakistan and Pakistani fans badly need some respite and fun. Though after the cancellation of Australian tour to Pakistan this year, they are very gloomy, and not taking much interest in the Bangladeshi tour, but with couple of good and fighting games, both teams could entice the fans once again back to the stadiums.

Pakistanis shouldn’t take the apparently Bengali team as minnows as the plight of Pakistani itself is not idea. With most of the experienced players gone and aging, and there is zero influx of new talent in the team, Pakistan has to work hard. Also the Pakistani players must not let the scandals and controversies surrounding the team dash their passions and they should only keep the professionalism in perspective while playing against the visiting Bengalis.
