Pakistan exit because of weaknesses

ikhanFormer captain Imran Khan on Wednesday said Pakistan cricket team lost the match to Ireland due to their weaknesses and pressure.

He categorically refused to accept the allegations that the match between Pakistan and Ireland was fixed.

Talking to a private channel, Imran said the baseless allegations are being hurled against the Pakistan cricket team because it is widely believed that coach Bob Woolmer was killed by the gambling mafia.

Referring to his meeting with the outgoing chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Dr Nasim Ashraf, Imran said he has suggested that the domestic cricket should be recognised on the pattern of Australia.

“Australian first class structure of cricket is the best in the world and hopefully the PCB would implement my recommendations as it is imperative for the revival of Pakistan cricket,” he added.

Chairman Standing Committee on Sports, Senator Zafar Iqbal, said ad hocism in Pakistan cricket would be abolished as the new constitution is currently with the Attorney General of Pakistan for expert opinion.
