Pakistan will be thanking their stars and England’s Eoin Morgan for keeping their hope alive in the T20 World Cup. After defeat from the hands of New Zealand and England, it was looking all over for Pakistan. Everyone thought its the end of the road for them in this tournament.

But with the fabulous performance against South Africa, Pakistan gave them a glimmer of hope of making it to the semis and their prayers were heard soon after when England defeated New Zealand later in the day and it ensured Pakistan to make it to the semis.

With all the controversies surrounding with Pakistan cricket, every one thought that this team will not manage to go a long way in the tournament.

With a brand new look Pakistan side representing this year T20 World Cup edition, Pakistan had the quality without a doubt but the biggest question in everyone mind was that whether the Pakistan players can keep their ego aside and work as a unit and make their nation proud?

Pakistan started in fine fashion beating Bangladesh in their opening match but after that three consecutive defeats from the hands of Australia, England and New Zealand raised eyebrows that what is wrong with the squad. Former players criticised Pakistan of a poor display and raised question on the captaincy of Shahid Afridi.

They said that Pakistan did not reacted well to the situation and no one missed an opportunity for criticising the team.

But with a superb performance against South Africa, Pakistan find themselves in a good situation and have a realistic chance of making third final in a row in T20 World Cup as they face the mighty Australians in the semifinal on Friday (tomorrow).
